Michael is here!

Hello! Big news in the Meier house. Michael Taylor got here on Friday. He's going to live with us til May while doing an internship at the White House. It's a great honor for him and a huge treat for us. Elizabeth loves him dearly and refers to him as her big brother. We refer to her as his adoring fan!

I'm going to a sales meeting/orientation today for a new company in Rockville. Can't decide if I want to take the job or not. It's not a steady income, but the potential for a big income is there. What to do, what to do....

The girls are well into exams this week and then we are heading to TN for Grampa's birthday!

Made it another week!!! As rocky as our week started off...it has ended relatively quietly..so far! At least we made through a week of homework...thats saying something!!

I'm still frantically searching for a job. What gives? I even got turned down by Target! What the h*#$? No fair! So I keep looking. Mike and I are meeting the crew in Vegas May 13-16. Can hardly wait for that...gotta get 2-piece ready for that gig! No way am I going to Vegas with Kim, Shelly and Alicia looking like this!!!

Sarah is at Ramiro's house for dinner cuz it's his Dad's birthday. Leave it to Catherine to point out that Sarah didn't go to her own Dad's birthday dinner but that she sure can show up for some guy's dad!!! Catherine never forgets anything...her husband is totally screwed!

20 inches of snow...Dec. 2009

Good grief! Has it been since March that I started this blog? Why has it taken me so long to write again? My life is so dang crazy...i won't labor on about the past because I have enough to bitch about on a daily basis!!! Here's the latest...Sarah is going to be the death of me! Tonight she is sitting upstairs mad because I took her computer, phone and iTouch so that she could do the outline for Odyssey that was due today...So, she comes downstairs and says she's taking her phone back upstairs because there is too much talking going on DOWNSTAIRS while she is UPSTAIRS so she's going to wait to do her homework when we all go to sleep!!!! Can you believe that bunch of horse shit! So I asked her why our talking downstairs throws off her concentration but she can apparently do her homework with her iTouch blaring, her phone vibrating and talking on the computer to whomever! I told Sarah she needed to seriously consider community college or enlisting in the military because at this rate no university is going to accept her...she doesn't focus on the right things for her career and she's not driven enough to push herself. Arg-then Catherine just found her in the attic asleep! Oh well...guess that outline won't be done tonight!!!

Here We Go

This is my first blog. Thought it would be fun for me. I've always journaled to some degree but lately it's just been too hard to sit and write. While not as personal, this is easier. So hopefully I will be more consistent with it.
We are still in school for another 3 weeks. All of my friends on Facebook are throwing out the, "have a great summer!", "last day of school!" and my kids are pissed! We are ready to sleep, too.

I'm heading to the gym now!
